Workshops
The College of General Studies offers a variety of workshops to assist with the job search process from Resume Writing to Practice with the Pros to Interview Skills. Review the list of options available along with dates and locations on Career Matters or login to Campanile Connections.
Career Fairs
Student Part-Time Employment Job Fair is held early each fall semester for students looking for local, student friendly part-time job opportunities. Students can distribute resumes, fill out applications, and interview with many employers in one afternoon. This event is made possible through a partnership between the College of General Studies Career Planning and the South Dakota Career Center.
Graduate and Professional School Fair, sponsored by the SDSU Graduate School, is for students interested in continuing their education beyond the baccalaureate degree. Graduate school representatives from throughout the country attend this annual event.
College Fairs
Many colleges at SDSU sponsor career days and job fairs specifically for their degree programs. Most of these fairs are held in the fall semester, providing students and employers opportunities to network well before graduation. Some fairs include internship opportunities while others are strictly for full time positions. Statewide Fairs
The BIG (Business Industry Government) Job Fair is held each February in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A wide variety of employers from many areas of business, industry and governmental agencies attend this fair.
The Black Hills Regional Job Fair is held during the month of March in Rapid City, South Dakota. A wide variety of employers from the Black Hills region and across the nation attend this fair.
The South Dakota Teacher Job Fair is held in mid April in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. School Districts from South Dakota, neighboring states and from around the nation attend this fair.
Special Events
